Iowa Tree Grinding & Clearing
 Iowa tree grinding and clearing is usually the first thing
that goes on at a construction site and can create the mood for the entire
project. At J. Pettiecord, Inc. we pride ourselves on clearing large volumes of
trees in a short amount of time to get the grading or utility contractor on site
and working ahead of schedule. We will mobilize a fleet of excavators and dozers
to clear the site and then our large track mounted tree grinder will grind the
trees. We also pride ourselves on doing a complete job, which includes removing
the root balls of the trees as well as the wood chips. Most of our work is done
in Iowa, however we would look at work in surrounding states.
J. Pettiecord, Inc. also takes single truckloads of trees for disposal at our
shop where they are recycled.

Snow Removal
J. Pettiecord, Inc. is also involved with snow and ice
removal. To supplement our fleet of
heavy equipment we also have 15 pickup trucks with snowplows on them.
We mostly handle large commercial accounts
such as trucking terminals, retail stores, and other large parking lots.

Demolition
J. Pettiecord, Inc. handles many different kinds of
demolition projects. Most of our
demolition projects also involve some form of environmental cleanup such as gas
stations, houses, and commercial buildings.

Excavating & Grading
With our extensive fleet of heavy equipment, J. Pettiecord, Inc. also handles some
excavating and grading work. This includes grading for small commercial
lots, backfilling, and other miscellaneous grading activities.
